DAF XF For Auction
This Could be yours – DAF XF For Auction 18th September 2020

JJX Logistics’ is having a charity auction of one of its fleet of DAF XF tractor units. The top-spec XF 460 FTG ‘mid-lift’ with Super Space Cab 6×2 tractor unit is adorned in special Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club livery and is being auctioned on September 18th in aid of the breast cancer charity, Legacy4Lucy.  Every pound over the £15,600 reserve will go to Breast Cancer Now via the Legacy4Lucy charity.

The Legacy4Lucy foundation was started by Jason Guy in memory of his wife Lucy who sadly passed away in 2015 aged 33 from breast cancer. His fundraising has surpassed £200,000 and now JJX are hoping to help him tip the £250,000 with our auction.

The company anticipates the truck will go to a local operator with connections to, or as a fan of, the club. DAF Trucks’ donation of a full warranty package makes the truck an even more tempting proposition for operators.

Painted in the football club’s familiar gold and black colourway, air-brushed images feature high-profile ‘Wolves’ players past-and-present, and was commissioned as a tribute to the hugely popular former club President, Sir Jack Hayward. The twin-bunk Super Space Cab includes Bluetooth, Sat. Nav., and fridge / freezer.

To help the auction along, DAF Trucks has agreed to provide a 12-month manufacturer’s driveline warranty

As a result of coronavirus restrictions, the auction will take place as an alternative charity event to one staged annually by the Kingswinford-based operator.

Phil Moon, Marketing Manager at DAF Trucks, said, “This is such a unique opportunity for what we presume will be a local haulier, although a top football club like Wolves will have supporters throughout the UK! The truck certainly has aesthetic appeal, but with the added peace-of-mind of our 12-month, manufacturer-backed driveline warranty thrown-in,” he said, “it makes for a seriously attractive business proposition. We are very pleased to be able, hopefully, to make even more money for the Legacy4Lucy charity.”
