Here’s a special edition truck from DAF that’s unlikely to grace the sales floors of their UK dealers. The Unity special edition XF is meant to bring all the countries of Europe together with the country-specific colouring on the front of the cab.
In light of the UK leaving the EU, (yes, remember Brexit?) it is unlikely that truck operators will be queuing to buy a ‘Unity’ truck.
However, all over the rest of Europe, DAF Trucks is introducing the Unity Edition. This unique version features a rich specification to please drivers and brings lowest operating costs for the operator at the same time, also thanks to the standard 36 months repair & maintenance contract.
The DAF XF Unity Specification
The Unity Edition is designed for an outstandingly performing industry in a challenging time. The special truck is available as Space Cab and Super Space Cab. It is powered by the PACCAR MX-13 engine delivering 480 hp and is available in tractor as well as in rigid configurations. The XF Unity Edition is characterized by a country specific livery. With national colours braided through the grille and draped over the Brilliant White cab and mirrors, everyone will know which country the truck comes from.
The specification of the Unity Edition varies per market, but all will include the Luxury Air driver seat, the 15 centimeters deep Xtra Comfort lower bunk mattress, the most luxurious climate control system, DAF’s large refrigerator and the truck navigation radio system with 6 speakers as standard.
A 3 years Care+ maintenance contract is included, ensuring maximum uptime and ease-of-mind. For the driver, the XF Unity Edition comes with a generous and attractive DAF merchandise package.
The DAF XF Unity Edition is available at DAF dealers in a number of European countries – just not the UK.
