On these pages you will find all rigid trucks for sale at Truckpages. This is regardless of weight, axle configuration and body type. A rigid truck is everything that does not have a fifth wheel and tow a semi trailer. All tractor units for sale are here. The list can be as diverse as a 7.5 tonne box truck to a 32 tonne bulk tipper. It is a good place to start your search if you want to ensure you do not have to trawl through all the tractor units, trailers, vans and plant on the main listings search. Use the filters to refine your rigid truck search further. We suggest selecting one (or more) body types that you are interested in.
The most popular brand of rigid truck in the UK is without doubt DAF rigid trucks – especially their lightweight LF range and their middleweight CF range. You can tell roughly the gross weight of a rigid by looking at the number of axles. If it has two axles it cannot weigh more than 18 tonnes loaded without some kind of trailer towed behind. Next check the size of the wheels – the larger the wheels and tyres the heavier the weight. An 18 tonne rigid will have the same size tyres as a full sized 44 tonne tractor unit, whilst a 7.5 tonner will have much smaller ones. If there are three axles, chances are the rigid will be a 26 tonner (although it could be anywhere between 18 and 26 tonnes). Four axles make it a 32 tonne rigid.
