There’s good news for truck operators in the market for a replacement crane truck. Truckpages has just added an extra 100 crane trucks for sale to the inventory. The bulk of these additions come courtesy of Huddersfield-based truck dealer, MAC’s Trucks.
Crane truck buyers now have a choice of new and used trucks available in all shapes and sizes. From the smallest 3.5 tonne dropside van fitted with a crane to the largest 65 tonner with a machinery moving crane, Truckpages has a wide choice across the board.
Crane Truck Applications
In addition to the standard crane trucks, specialist vehicles including grabloaders (a tipper truck with a crane and grab bucket fitted), brick carriers, (fitted with a front-, mid- or rear-mounted crane and brick grab).
The most common application for an 18 or 26 tonne crane truck is in the builder’s merchant delivery field. Usually fitted with a brick grab and crane, these trucks are vital for the industry to get their building products delivered to sites reliably.

The UK crane truck market has favoured Hiab over the years – so much so that the Hiab has become the ‘Hoover’ of the truck-mounted crane market. Things are changing and we see Atlas and Italian brand, Fassi making inroads in the market.
