There are some 260 commercial vehicles heading to Midlands-based BJS Home Delivery.  Not a bad number, considering some of these are to expand the operation and move into haulage.

A mixture of tractor units, drawbars and high-cube vans, Renault Trucks Commercials will be taking on their maintenance as well.

Key to the deal was the long-standing positive relationship and service support from Renault Truck Commercials.

The Deal Highlights

The deal is part of BJS’ ambitious expansion plans and rapid growth into the food, retail, construction and manufacturing haulage sectors and includes 80 Renault Trucks T480 6×2 tractor units, 5 T480 6×2 drawbar units and 175 Renault Trucks Master platform cabs with Trucksmith Loloader bodies.  All maintenance will be carried out at BJS Haulage’s local dealer Renault Trucks Midlands, in Tipton.

The Buyer

BJS Home Delivery was launched as a two-man delivery service during the recession in 2009 and is now a preferred partner for market-leading brands. As well as replacing some of BJS’s existing fleet, many of the new vehicles are additions for the new BJS Haulage company as they expand to cater for the larger end of the logistics industry.

Why Buy Renault Trucks?

Harinder Singh, Managing Director of BJS explains: “We selected Renault Trucks as the chosen manufacturer for our large increase in the fleets of both Home Delivery and Haulage due to the long-standing and positive relationship we have had for many years with Renault Truck Commercials on our 200+ home delivery fleet. They gave us the confidence in the service and support which we will continue to receive on these new HGVs.”

Harinder is full of further praise for the largest main dealer group in the Renault Trucks UK network: “Our relationship with Renault Truck Commercials has been brilliant; they have supported BJS with our constant growth in ensuring we have adequate vehicles on the road to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations. The sales and service teams are very easy to deal with and often go above and beyond. In particular their Sales Director, Rick Edwards has been a key figure in our relationship and especially with his knowledge and expertise, it often means we are able to agree the best options for our business, both commercially and operationally.”

Renault Truck Commercials Sales Director, Rick Edwards comments on the deal: “We are delighted that BJS has once again chosen to trust us with their vehicle requirements at such a crucial time in their business development. Our team of transport professionals put our customer’s business at the heart of everything they do, ensuring products and services add value and make business sense.”
