The LF220 is the 220hp Euro 6 version of DAF’s LF can be used. This is a high powered truck and would usually be seen at operating up to 18 tonnes GVW, although available across the range from 7.5 tonnes and upwards. Newer Models – Powered by the PACCAR PX-7 rated at 223hp (164kW), it was replaced in the DAF model line up by the LF230 in 2017/18 using the same 7-litre, 6-cylinder PX-7 PACCAR engine but with some improvements to the efficiency and a power rating of 234hp (172kW). Need More Power? More power is available from the same 7-litre in the LF250 – again, available from 2014 until 2017/18 replaced by the LF260. More power still is available from the relatively rare LF290. Often used as road sweepers because of the power available, the 220 is usually available in the used market in almost any format, from a beavertail to a Tipper and a Box to a skiploader. These are the most common model variant of the LF range, with the LF150 a close second.
