Volvo trucks are huge favourites with tipper operators. Most of the used Volvo tippers will be 8×4 32 tonne examples, most often the FM models. Volvo have more recently launched their construction range of trucks that is well suited for on and off road tipping work – they call these the FMX – essentially a ruggedised version of the FM chassis cab. You will also find the smaller Volvo tippers – 18 tonners and 26 tonne 6×4 examples, but most will be searching for the 8 wheel Volvo tippers.
