Atlas Copco has launched its first hybrid light tower, the HiLight BI+ 4 which incorporates ‘surface mount device’ (SMD) LED lighting technology and lithium-ion batteries to provide excellent performance and efficiency. Operators at construction sites, events, mines, emergency applications and rental companies will be able to reduce their carbon footprint and operating costs while improving sustainability levels – both environmentally and in business. Combining the use of lithium-ion batteries with a low-consumption Stage V diesel engine, the new HiLight BI+ 4 light tower offers users maximum flexibility as it has four operating modes: it can be powered directly from mains…>
Atlas Copco Power and Flow has launched five new models of its lithium-ion Energy Storage Systems (ESS). The new units provide customers with increased options for power. The systems are suited to noise-sensitive environments, such as events, metropolitan construction sites, telecom, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas and rental applications, and enable operators to dramatically reduce their fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The additions to Atlas Copco's portfolio include a larger ZBC 300-300 unit and a smaller line of battery-based storage systems, the ZPB 45-60, ZBP 45-75, ZBP 15-60 models, and the ZBP 2000 with two flexible solar panels. For demanding applications, you may need to take your compressor’s pressure levels to new heights and maximise productivity with high-pressure boosters. While the pressurised air supplied through a standard compressor is more than sufficient for many industrial processes, certain applications require pressure levels to be taken up a notch (or 10). In these instances, adding a high-pressure booster is the ideal solution – and carries with it an abundance of efficiency, safety and productivity benefits. As the name suggests, a booster ‘boosts’ or increases the pressure levels of a primary feed air compressor. Never a stand-alone product, it works in…>
With new equipment supply tight, providing a steady source of quality reconditioned used compressors is a sound – and sustainable – alternative, says Dominic Fancini, of Atlas Copco Portable Air Division. Giving compressors a full extended second life is more than just good business for Atlas Copco. The company is committed to the circular economy and today nearly every compressor has the ability to be renewed and sent back out into the world for a whole new adventure in the field. And second life needn’t mean second class: users can expect that their OEM revitalized, and modernized compressors perform just…>
