2005 Iveco Euro Cargo 180E24 4x2 Line Painter/Hotbox Lorry, Econ Body, Automatic Gearbox (Tested 06/24) - SF55 NXK - ZCFA1TJ0202468584
These specialist Hot Box bodied trucks and trailers are used for road repairs. The tarmac repair truck can use either an auger system to eject the hot tarmac or tip the body to release the hot cargo. Check whether the example you are considering has a gas bottle lift – health and safety will not permit a single operator loading a heavy bottle manually. The smaller trailers are suitable for one man operation and do not need a specialist truck to tow them so you can have a multi-purpose vehicle. The most common manufacturer in the UK is Econ, although Phoenix and Roadmender are also Hotbox manufactures that appear on Truckpages.
This is just showing off now. After last week's DAF LF hotbox on the front cover that went through the CVA sale on Tuesday, this week sees another of these specialist trucks - this time for sale and in stock at CB Commercials. This has the larger CF cab with the DVS passenger door window and, as a 2017 model, is fully Euro 6 compliant making it perfect for urban road mending operations. It's a 26 tonne 6x2 rear steer making it suitable for tight spots, yet still able to carry a good 12 to 13 tonnes. This is a…
If you've never seen a hotbox then you have now. This week's front cover features a 2022 DAF LF290 18 tonne hot box with just 47,000kms on the clock. If you are involved in the road repairs and need hot Tarmac on site then these insulated bodies keep the product hot whilst being heated by a gas bottle. The heated Tarmac can be delivered using a auger system or tipping - this one clearly tips. It will be heading through the CVA sale on 26th March and is joined by a host of other trucks and trailers. Check out the…

Most immediately noticeable are Tarmaster’s smooth one-piece side panels which are angled inwards at the floor to assist clean and easy discharge of the hot…
For quick fix urban road repairs, you don’t need a huge 18-tonner blocking roads. Plenty of councils have identified this issue and are ordering 7-tonne Iveco Daily vans with hotboxes fitted through Dawsongroup Sweepers. Dawsongroup Sweepers have now taken delivery of 10 Iveco Daily chassis cabs for conversion to ‘Hotbox’ road repair vehicles. The company’s business hasn’t slowed down throughout the pandemic, which means that all 10 of the new Daily vehicles are already spoken for and will be off to their end users shortly after receipt from the bodybuilder. The 72C18HA8 vehicles feature Iveco’s 180hp 3.0 F1C diesel, with…
