Refrigerated panel vans – or more simply put, ‘fridge vans’ are always available at Truckpages.  They are more specialist than your average white panel van so are more often sold by specialist commercial vehicle dealers rather than a run of the mill van dealer. These are the integral-style vans rather than the ‘box’ shaped vans that we see Tesco delivering your shopping in. Typically used for the smallest of deliveries – perhaps owned by a butcher, grocer, or even florist to go about their own deliveries. Typically available with a maximum gross weight of 3.5 tonnes, the additional insulation required and the weight of the refrigeration systems means that the operator should be cautions when specifying the vehicle that it is not likely to get overloaded easily. Plenty of things to watch out for when buying a used fridge van, check out the hygiene and the state of the lining – any rips and tears are asking for bugs to breed.  What has it been used for in the past – better to buy one that had been used for dry goods than wet fish!
