You will still find used Fodens for sale at Truckpages. Bought by DAF’s parent company PACCAR in 1980, the historic UK brand was shelved in 2006. Favoured as an eight wheel tipper, very few examples of these survive due to the tough nature of tipping work. There are still plenty of Foden Alpha tractor units for sale – you will see them advertised on these pages.

You don't see many of these about. This ex MoD Foden tipper has come from the reserve stock. Looking at the mileage reading of just 8,000kms, this truck that first went into service in 2003 still looks factory fresh as far as the cab and the body are concerned. It's an all wheel drive 6x6 truck with a 360hp Cummins engine and manual Eaton gearbox. Gross weight of 31 tonnes giving a payload of around 20 tonnes..
