DAF are UK leaders in rigid truck sales in the UK so, as you would expect, there are always plenty of used DAF Box vans for sale in the UK used truck market. We include all models and weight ranges, from the 7.5 tonne DAF LF box van right up to the 40 tonne DAF XF set up as a drawbar combination box truck. The most popular DAF box van is the LF range – there are nearly three times as many used LF box trucks as there are CF versions – an XF box is a rarity in the UK, but more common on the continent. DAF have been selling ready-bodied box trucks from the Leyland factory for some years now. Check whether the body is a factory fit or has been fitted using a bodybuilder. As with all box bodied trucks, always check the integrity of the body – has there been any leaks? Is the flooring warped? If there are any nasty odours in there then it is unlikely that you will be able to get rid of them and whatever loads you put in the box body in the future will smell of this.
One of the UK’s premier providers of hotel laundry hire and services, Johnsons Hotel Linen, has started to introduce three fixed double decks and fifty-two rigids to its fleet, with a focus on durability to meet its testing operational schedule.
