DAF are the UK’s runaway market leader in truck sales. As you would expect therefore, DAF curtainsiders are very popular on the UK’s used truck market. The DAF LF is for lightweight operations and is built to a maximum of 18 tonnes GVW which is where the CF curtainsider comes in and is available as a 6×2 26 tonne curtain sided body. The most common of these trucks is the 7.5 tonne Euro 6 DAF LF curtainsider – an operator’s favourite and a great all-rounder. For operation at 18 tonnes GVW up to 26 tonnes, then it has to be a CF – if used for long distance then look for one with a ‘Super Space’ cab.
Here's the truck that every owner driver would dream about. A Scania R520 with an impressive but subtle paint job and all the goodies fitted including a coffee machine, fridge, microwave and the all important air horns. The most important part is that despite its reasonable sensible 520hp it is using Scania's legendary V8 engine. The 2018 model can be seen on film. We hear about new landmarks in the world of electric trucks all of the time; the first electric tractor unit in East Anglia, the first skip loader in the North West, Largest order of electric trucks etc., so we thought it worthwhile highlighting our own electric truck landmark. This week sees the first used electric truck in the Truckpages Magazine and here, online at www.Truckpages.co.uk. Used Electric Truck Prices It is notoriously difficult to get a realistic published price for a new diesel truck in the UK – the same goes for a used diesel truck. The sellers all like…
Well, this really is BIG NEWS in the Truckpages world. On this week's front cover is the first ever fully electric truck to appear for sale inside the magazine. If is a fully electric, 19 tonne GVW (you get the extra tonne for it being electric) DAF LF E19 Electric with the 26ft curtainside body and tuckaway tail lift. The truck is a 2022 model and has only covered 33,435 kilometres. It is certainly worth a phone call to the vendors, Ford and Slater who have priced the truck at £180,000+VAT. Just think, never having to fill the truck with…
