A Scania fridge truck is a rare thing on the UK’s used truck market – if you would like one and see it advertised, then snap it up, as you won’t get too much of a choice. There are plenty of other makes of chassis that are more readily available – UK truck operators tend to buy Scania trucks for more specialist applications with tougher duty cycles. The models of Scania fridge trucks that become available will usually be the 18-tonne P Series with a 24ft or 26ft insulated body. As will all refrigerated box trucks, make sure that the fridge unit has been as well maintained as the truck and that all elements are working – including the stand by power input.
