The DAF CF will become the most popular DAF beavertail model over time, as the model it replaced, the CF75, becomes rarer.
All of these trucks will be at least 26 tonners – with the larger units in 8×2 configuration to enable the fitment of a front mounted crane to aid the loading of stationary items of plant onto the truck as well as wheeled or tracked items that are loaded using the beavertail and ramps.
Truck buyers who wish to maximise payload for their beavertail and have to have a DAF truck should also consider the smaller-cabbed DAF LF for this type of operation. These are available up to 18 tonnes GVW. If you want a 6×2 or 8×2 then it will have to be a CF Beavertail.
