The DAF CF box truck, combined with the smaller LF model are streets ahead of the competition in the UK’s used truck market. There is a wider choice available than any other make or model. This makes the DAF CF the choice of used box truck at 18 tonnes GVW and above. Typically available at the lower power outputs, these day to day trucks were bought new with the 220 to 250hp engines and run at 18 tonnes. Higher powered versions are available from time to time, these would be as 26 tonners or 4×2 with drawbar fittings. In the UK market, most of these heavier duty roles are taken on by other manufacturers.
