Caledonian Logistics has ordered 35 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks in rigid and tractor unit form – their first Mercedes Actros order in five years, due in part to short lead times frrom the German manufacturer. The Aberdeenshire-based company’s 35 new vehicles are being supplied by local Dealer BLS Truck & Van and are the subject of contract hire agreements with Mercedes-Benz Finance. Exeter-based Parsons Nationwide Distribution have always been impressed with their Mercedes Actros tractor units but preferred to go for a Swedish manufacturer for their rigid trucks. That’s all changed as the company has just commissioned its first rigid truck bearing the three-pointed star.
