The Mitsubishi 75C15 makes a great beavertail truck at 75 tonnes GVW. A relatively high payload allowance means that these 150hp models can carry more plant than most other brands. Their compact dimensions also make them perfect for inner city operation, as does their automatic transmission. Despite their diminutive size, the 75C15 Canter can be fitted with a plant body of up to 22ft long giving it the space for a couple of machines – and the payload to drive it legally! There is a higher horsepower version of the Canter that may be even better suited to be fitted with a beavertail body – that’s the 75C18 with a 180hp version of the same engine as the 75C15.
