There is always a great selection of used Mitsubishi Fuso trucks for sale at Truckpages. The trickiest part of looking for a Mitsubishi Canter is knowing what to call it. The lightweight truck is sold new via Mercedes-Benz dealers This may sound strange, but both manufacturers share a joint parent company, Daimler. Prior to this, the trucks were sold at Volvo Truck dealerships. Still with us? The logo and Mitsubishi name and three diamond logo is used elsewhere in the UK – primarily on L200 pick up trucks. This UK business bears no relation to the truck side (like Renault Trucks and Renault Cars and Isuzu Trucks and Isuzu Pick ups).
To confuse matters further, Daimler appear to be trying to drop the ‘Mitsubishi’ element of the brand – this should work in the long run as it distances itself from the pick up manufacturer. This is why on Truckpages we list ‘Mitsubishi Fuso’ on this page and ‘Mitsubishi‘ elsewhere – the first for the Canter trucks and the second for the L200 Pick ups.
The automotive industry in general is constantly involved in buying and selling competing businesses. This is absolutely the case in the worldwide truck manufacturing industry. Looking at the short list of truck makers currently selling their vehicles in Europe you would be tempted to think that every single one is independent of each other. You would be wrong. DAF Trucks now owned by PACCAR after some tumultuous years in the 1990s Let’s take a look at all of the major manufacturers operating in Europe: DAF Trucks Isuzu Trucks Iveco Trucks MAN Truck & Bus Mercedes Trucks Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks Renault…
When Dasco Construction wanted ‘proper little trucks’ to replace less robust van-based vehicles the company decided on small trucks rather than converted vans. This means delivery of three new Fuso Canter 3C13 models. The Wigan-based company initially took two Canters then returned with an order for a further three, which were delivered just before Christmas – all were supplied by the Bolton outlet of Dealer Ciceley Commercials. Dasco Construction will celebrate its tenth anniversary in business this year. In that time its operation has grown rapidly, and the company now runs a fleet of more than 75 small tippers, vans…
If you are thinking of buying a recovery truck, it’s worth looking at why other operators specify the truck that they have. Kingsbridge Auto Repair & Rescue have recently taken delivery of their third Fuso Canter, so they must be fans. Their new truck is plated at 7.5 tonnes, but with its 2.5 tonne spec lift and dolly which means that it can recover vehicles as large as a motorhome and as awkward as a 4x4. In addition, the crew cab allows the recovery truck to take not just the broken down vehicle, but also up to six passengers. The…

Since the first generation, FUSO has continuously developed the vehicle corresponding to the demands of customers and society. Just a handful of months after the trucks reveal at the IAA last September, the all-electric Fuso eCanter is rolling off the European production line. Mitsubishi Fuso’s parent company Daimler, (which it shares with Mercedes Trucks) threw a bash to celebrate the milestone. The event at the FUSO Europe production plant in Tramagal, Portugal, saw Karl Deppen, CEO Daimler Truck Asia, and Arne Barden, CEO FUSO Europe, announced another milestone for the Tramagal plant with the 250,000th FUSO Canter produced on-site. Arne Barden said: “The team is proud to build the iconic FUSO Canter here at Tramagal, now in its…
