There are always plenty of used Iveco Trakkers for sale at Truckpages. Iveco’s truck designed for heavy duty construction tasks is essentially a ‘ruggedised’ Stralis with additional protection under the bumper and engine, stronger bumper and higher ground clearances. Launched in 2004 Iveco were one of the earlier manufacturers to develop a brand for the construction line. Covering the weight range from 18 to 72 tonnes, the Trakker can be bought as an 8×4, but also a 6×4, 4×4 and ev3n a 4×2 with power outputs from 360 to 500hp from the choice of Cursor 8 and Cursor 13 engines (note no Cursor 10 available). In 2021 the Trakker was replaced by the new T-Way which shares the new cab with the S-Way. There are relatively few of these construction-focused trucks in the UK’s used truck market. Of those available, they tend to be the 360 horsepower versions – the Trakker 360 although variants are available up to 450hp.
The Trakker replaced the EuroTrakker back in 2004 – initially with Euro 3 engines – no Cursor 10, instead the Trakker was launched with the Cursor 8 and 13 engines. The lightweight 8-litre usedfor high payload operations with 270, 310 and 352hp and the Cursor 13 for duty cycles that involve severe gradients and stop start work.
