Unlike all other Scania trucks, the S Series has had to change the model naming to please the manufacturers of the S Class passenger cars.  For this reason Scania makes the 450S not the S450 in their top of the range heavy truck series. Power for the 450S comes from Scania’s 13-litre straight six engine – the 16 litre starts at 530hp. There are two cabs available the S-Sleeper normal and the S-Sleeper Highline which gives a standing height of over two metres. These models can run on HVO without any changes to the truck. If you like this cab but need more power, then the upgrade to the 450S would be the 500 or 540 models using the 13-litre – or 530, 590, 660 or a massive 770hp for the 16-litre.
