The Actros 2545 is the most common model variant of all trucks advertised for sale at Truckpages.
The 44-tonne Euro 6 trucks for sale at Truckpages are typically from the years around 2015 to 2016.
All 2545 Actros trucks have 6×2 axle configurations and are fitted with the 450HP Mercedes engine and often with the Mercedes Powershift transmissions.
All types of cabs are available – ClassicSpace, StreamSpace, BigSpace and GigaSpace.
To operate inside London and a number of other cities beyond 2024, truck operators have to ensure that their vehicles reach a minimum of three direct vision stars. One way of achieving this was used by the UK’s largest wholesale supplier to the veterinary industry by switching from tractor units with big, flat-floored cabs, to narrower, lower variants. That means the narrow cabbed, 2.3m wide version of the Actros (still easier for us at least to use the now discontinued ‘Antos’ model name to help to understand the size of cab we are talking about). Black Country-based hauler Andyfreight is voting with its feet. This means buying more Mercedes Actros tractor units as they have outperformed other manufacturers’ vehicles on the fleet on fuel consumption. The company has just added another three tractor units to the six supplied by Dealer Midlands Truck & Van last year, and will be taking delivery of a further eight in the spring. With average returns of 11.27 mpg, even Andyfreight’s previous-generation Actros are half a mile per gallon ahead of its trucks by two other manufacturers, while a single unit from a third brand trails a lot further behind.…>
With no fewer than 1,200 trucks made up evenly of three different manufacturers, Intermodal logistics leader Maritime Transport is well-placed to compare the relative performance of the vehicles. With 100 new generation Actros trucks now on the fleet, Maritime Fleet Director Paul Heyhoe has been impressed with the improvements in fuel economy enjoyed by the Actros 2545 tractor units. The 100 truck order was the company’s first from Mercedes-Benz trucks since 2017. The Felixstowe-based operator placed its order following successful trials of a demonstration unit supplied by East Anglia Dealer Orwell Truck & Van, which proved impressively fuel-efficient and popular…>
It seems that not every business leases their trucks or puts them on a finance package. Howard Tenens Logistics is an example of a business investing their own capital in their trucks. The company has just taken delivery of no fewer than 16 new generation Actros tractor units – the new ones with the mirror cameras to the uninitiated. It wasn’t just the quality of the outgoing Actros that convinced the boss to dig deep, but also the aftersales support which was in turn every bit as important as the safety and fuel-efficiency of the trucks. The 16 tractor units…>
With 149 out of their total of 150 trucks wearing the three-pointed star, it’s clear that the Bartrum Group are fans of the Mercedes brand. This relationship with Mercedes dealer, Orwell Truck & Van, has been underlined through the addition of twenty new Actros tractor units that join eleven that arrived late last year. All 31 trucks were specified with the optional, interactive version of Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ twin-screen Multimedia Cockpit. Future Proof Technology These major investments in new equipment reflect the strong position in which the family-owned haulier is emerging from the pandemic, and its determination to “future-proof” its fleet.…>
