The Volvo FM380 remains a popular truck for sale at Truckpages. The 380hp FM380 was sold in the early part of the 2000’s and was usually configured as an 8-wheel tipper. The same 380hp output was available from both the nine and twelve litre Volvo engines – operators could opt for the extra torque or the lighter weight of the smaller engine. there is a newer, Euro 6 version of the FM380, but this has yet to make its way onto the used truck market in any great numbers.
Sweepers are usually configured in a standard and predictable layout. The truck will have a day cab, sometimes left-hand drive, well-powered and compact in size. Volvo Trucks beat the competition to a deal, with a new, 8x2 Volvo FM replacing a competitor’s vehicle on a small fleet of just four trucks. The deal was done on the back of the local dealer’s excellent support of the company’s existing Volvo, making the decision to buy a new Volvo easy for KPH Plant Hire.
