All of these commercial vehicles are for sale by forthcoming auction. As a result, no prices are listed for them. At Truckpages we aggregate the inventory for the UK’s top commercial vehicle auctioneers which means that you only need to look in one place for the next truck, van or trailer you are looking to buy through the auctions. As with all purchases, please make sure that you take the time to inspect the truck or van prior to purchase. On the main truck search facility it is possible to search for only trucks at auction – or you can search for trucks for sale from dealers and private operators. Simply add the ‘Sale Type’ filter to your search.
When buying a truck from auction it is important to remember that a buyer’s fee is usually added to the hammer price. Make sure that you have the ability to pay the full amount or at least to leave a hefty deposit. The truck that you have bought at auction will have to be collected in a matter of days, so make sure you have the funds available before bidding.
Auctions can be nerve racking places when buying a truck that is going to represent your livelihood and may well be taking up a large part of your savings. Please keep your head and do not keep bidding under any circumstance. Too dear is too dear. Take the time to inspect the truck prior to placing a bid. The truck may look right, but make sure that you hear it running and driving – try and talk to the auction staff who have driven the truck. Remember that the comeback from buying at auction is no the same as if you are buying from a dealer.
So know what you are buying, how you are paying for it and how you are going to collect it.
