There is always a good selection of used cherry pickers for sale at Truckpages. For smaller jobs the cherry picker vans are perfect – either with a panel van body or dropside. For the larger jobs, cherry picker trucks are needed.  These will have a greater reach and will be suitable for a team of workers, rather than single platform use. When buying a used vehicle-mounted  aerial work platforms, you need to make sure that the equipment is 100% operational – check that the relevant LOLER testing certificates are in place. Why are these commercial vehicles called cherry pickers? Well, it was actually to pick cherries – not in the UK, but in the USA – where they don’t call them cherry pickers any more.  The Americans prefer the term ‘Vehicle mounted aerial work platform’. Cherry Picker just sounds better.
