Most municipal councils used 7.5 tonne tippers for local maintenance work. These have usually been well-maintained and have low mileages so therefore are in demand. There are always plenty of council tippers of all makes and models, including caged tippers used for waste collection. In addition to the 7.5 tonne ex-council tippers we list the 3.5 tonne variety – like a Ford Transit – that you can drive on a car licence without having to arrange an operator’s licence as well. You will also find heavier ‘van-type’ tippers from the councils like the 6 or 7-tonne Iveco Daily tippers – often with cage tippers.
