Payload is money in tanker operation. The lightweight Volvo FL chassis gave it an advantage over other manufacturers, winning the business for the first time from Bridgwater-based Western Fuel. These are its first new Volvos in its 26-strong tanker delivery fleet, with two new FL 4x2 rigids in service. The trucks replace older vehicles and will be used to deliver kerosene, diesel and gas oil to a wide customer base across the south west.
