The 250hp 6.7 litre PACCAR GR165 engine powering the LF55.220 was popular amongst operators when bought new. This is the second most popular variant of the LF55 line after the 220hp version. The 250 is a popular choice as an urban tractor unit – running at a gross combined weight of up to 28 tonnes for the 17,5″ wheels and 32 tonnes with the 22,5″ wheels. Other common uses are as municipal vehicles where extra power for the pto is needed – think gritters, sweepers etc. The LF55.250 was discontinued at the end of 2013 although you may find some 2014 registered models. If it is a Euro 6 truck that you are looking for, then you would need to consider the newer models – the LF260.
