Each type of tail lift has its own benefit depending on the duty cycle and the weights of the items to be loaded. Heavier items tend to require a cantilever lift that is mounted on the chassis under the body and can provide long loading platforms, the column lift is fast to deploy, whilst the tuck away is great if loaded by forklift or loading bay as well as by use of tail lift.
