Customers buying a used truck from DAF’s approved used ‘First Choice’ program will now benefit from a manufacturer-backed warranty – assuming certain criteria have been met. To get the full warranty, the truck will have to be less than four years old. If the truck is as much as five years old there is still a warranty but it only covers the driveline – but there are no mileage restrictions on either offer. Every truck sitting on a ‘First Choice’ forecourt is less than five years old in any case and will have no more than 600,000 kilometres on the clock. In addition to a full service history from a DAF dealer, the trucks will have undergone a significant pre-sale check – DAF tell us there are some 200 of them, making sure that the truck is good enough quality for them to offer this warranty as part of the deal.
