The Transit brand is also shared with the smaller Transit Custom (think VW Transporter or Vito size).  These are around 2.6 tonnes GVW.

To make matters more confusing, Transit is also used for the smaller Transit Connect (it used to be simply called the Connect).  These are about 2 tonnes GVW.

Finally, the transit brand is also used for the city van – the Transit Courier.  This van has a gross vehicle weight of around 1.8 tonnes and payloads of around 540kgs and is offered with petrol (Ecoboost) and diesel engines
