Transport and logistics firm, Currie Solutions, has taken delivery of 13 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks from Asset Alliance Group. The Dumfries-based company, which provides freight forwarding, transport distribution and pallet delivery services in the UK and Europe, had no hesitation in returning to the commercial vehicle specialist for its latest order to renew its fleet.

Allan Jamieson, Operations Director at Currie Solutions, says: “As our company grows, we can count on the support of Asset Alliance Group. We trust Senior Business Development Manager Dougie Bennett and his team to supply the best vehicles to meet our needs and they have never let us down.

“We lean heavily on Dougie’s expertise and have a lot of respect for him. We always get quick answers about vehicle availability and accurate lead dates. He offers brilliant advice and has helped us to make the right decisions for our business.”

Supplied on three-year contract hire agreements, the new arrivals join a fleet of 130 vehicles and 450 trailers at the company, whose depots are strategically located in the UK, France, The Netherlands and through its partners in Germany and Italy.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units operate out of its Warrington site and are being deployed for trunking duties and distance travel throughout the UK.

The commercial vehicle specialist last year supplied the firm with 18 new DAF XF 530 Super Space Cab 6×2 tractor units and three MAN rigids.

Dougie Bennett, Senior Business Development Manager at Asset Alliance Group, says: “We are a people business at heart, and I believe we do a great job in putting our customers first so that they come back to us again and again. We’ve built up a great rapport with the team at Currie Solutions and look forward to being a trusted partner in the company’s growth plans.”

Established in 1977, Currie Solutions provides a wide range of transport solutions for its UK customers, offering contract transport services, tailored logistics management solutions and more than 250,000 sq ft of warehousing across its depots.
