In a flurry of activity, Isuzu Truck UK are bringing a series of new dealers on board. A relatively small player in the UK truck market overall, but with a strong share of the 7.5 tonne market, Isuzu Truck appear to be having a refocus on their sales initiative.
New Scottish Dealers
The company has appointed two of its existing Parts and Service dealers in Scotland as Sales dealers, with both organisations now offering full sales operations for the Isuzu 2020 truck range from 3.5t to 13.5t.
In the North of Scotland, Elgin Truck & Van Centre Ltd – ETV, will develop into Sales dealer status for both its Elgin and Inverness locations, Dundee and the East will be covered by Norscot Truck & Van Ltd.
Announcing details of this double dealer appointment, Richard Waterworth, head of sales, Isuzu Truck UK, said, “Both Norscot and Elgin Truck & Van joined the ITUK dealer network over a year ago as parts and service dealers. This next step to full dealer status is a logical move for each organisation, who are both seeing an increasing demand for the Isuzu Truck marque in their areas of the country.”
Dedicated Sales Resource
At Norscot Truck & Van Ltd, Richard Taylor is the dedicated Isuzu truck sales manager for the Dundee region and as Managing Director George Barrack says, “As an established OEM dealer group, Norscot in Dundee will benefit from the Isuzu truck range filling a gap in the GVW sectors where we currently do not have a product offering, as well as targeting niche markets where the Isuzu’s proven payload is an important factor.”
Further North at ETV, the company’s Operations Director Colin Milne will be dedicated to selling the Isuzu Truck marque from both their Inverness and Elgin locations.
Norfolk Trucks Bring on Norwich & Enfield
In addition to the Scottish expansion, Isuzu Truck UK has extended its full dealership arrangement with Norfolk Trucks from just its Suffolk location in Ipswich to cover Norfolk’s two dealerships in Norwich and Enfield, North London – both of them as full sales, service and parts franchisees for Isuzu Truck.
All three dealer locations within the Norfolk Trucks business now represent the Isuzu Truck marque, which will ensure that Isuzu can provide its customers with a consistent and knowledgeable dealer network covering the whole of the East of England region from Norfolk right down to North London, and operating through one dealer group.

Now having one dealer group covering this region will ensure that the growing market share we have here will continue to expand as a result of having the experienced Norfolk Trucks team representing us in this part of the world”, said Richard Wadsworth, head of sales, Isuzu Truck UK.

Renault Dealer RH Commercial Vehicles Added for Northampton
Further network expansion has come for Isuzu Truck in the East Midlands with the latest addition of RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) as its new full dealer based in Northampton.
“The addition of the Isuzu truck range will broaden the product offering available from our Northampton branch, and complements the existing services available. Jim McNeil, who has over 30 years’ experience with commercial vehicles, and who has been with RHCV for the past two years, will take up the new role of Isuzu truck sales executive at the dealership,” said Nigel Baxter, managing director, RH Commercial Vehicles.
The new ITUK dealership for RHCV in the East Midlands is based in Kislingbury, near the M1 Junction 16, close to Northampton, and offers a full range of workshop and parts services, in addition to new Isuzu truck sales.
Nigel continues, “We were looking to develop our Northampton dealership and the dialogue with ITUK was completed quickly and efficiently. They were really easy to work with and we see a great synergy between us in terms of operational methods. Shortly, we will be putting new Isuzu demonstrator trucks at different GVW’s into the Northampton franchise, which will enable us to develop further new customer opportunities. We will, of course, be adding new Isuzus to our own contract hire and rental operation in due course. We see ITUK as a perfect fit for our current business model.”
