In place since 2017, the #ProudProfessionals campaign has been used by Renault Trucks to support the UK’s truck drivers.
Now the public’s attention is firmly on the drivers – on a pedestal alongside NHS workers – Renault have relaunched the #ProudProfessionals campaign with some new branding – the ‘OOO’ meant to look like a three-axle rigid or tractor unit.
The supporting new tagline is, ‘We keep the nation running’.
Announcing the relaunch, Alex Williams, Head of Brand & Communications – Renault Trucks UK & Ireland, said:
Current circumstances demonstrate just how vital the transport industry is to our country. Virtually everything we eat, the products and medicines we use, are safely delivered by a truck or van that is operated, driven and maintained by ProudProfessionals. Our hashtag is already well known, and while #ProudProfessionals has never been more relevant, we’ve always been in this for the long term; our reinvigorated campaign is the next step in helping to celebrate the great people who make up this great industry.”

On the #ProudProfessionals website there is also a section that focuses on pictures of drivers and their trucks plus stories of how commercial vehicle drivers are making a difference each day. If you are a driver and have a story to tell, there is the facility to upload this to the website – there is an awards scheme later in the year that will recognise those drivers going the extra mile.
A social media campaign will support the relaunch, helping to attract and engage with a wider audience. #ProudProfessionals will also be promoted in the national media, working with key trade publications, and with market activations throughout the year.
