A truck buyer is spoilt for choice when looking for a 6×2 DAF truck for sale. All types of sellers from the owner operator to the truck dealer to the large truck auctioneers constantly advertise these trucks right here at Truckpages. The UK market leader sells tonnes of 6×2 rigids at 26 tonnes for distribution and local delivery work, but the largest numbers of 6×2 DAF trucks on the market are the 6×2 DAF tractor units. You can find 6×2 examples of almost the entire DAF range of trucks – including the outgoing CF and XF which are being replaced by the XD and XG models. Less common in this 6×2 axle configuration are the ‘Construction’ versions of the DAF range, the XDC and the XFC. To tell a 6×2 DAF truck by the full model number, look out for ‘FAR’ (trailing rear axle) or ‘FAS’ (trailing twin wheel rear axle)or ‘FAG’ (Mid steer axle) or ‘FAN’ (rear steer) on a rigid and ‘FTP’ (lightweight midlift) or ‘FTR’ (rear lift or tag axle) or ‘FTS’ (twin rear wheels on extra axle) or ‘FTG’ (Midlift and steer) or ‘FTN’ (rear lift and steer) on a tractor unit.
