The Canter is the only model of Mitsubishi Fuso truck sold in the UK. The lightweight chassis is sold through the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle network as both brands are owned by truck Giant Daimler. There is a choice of three gross vehicle weights – 3.5 tonnes, 7.5 tonnes and an 8.55 tonne version. Filter on the relevant model number on this search – a 3C15 would be a 3.5 tonne 150hp Canter, whilst the 7C18 would be a 7.5 tonne 180hp version. The Canters are sold as the lightweight, high payload alternative to the premium Mercedes Atego and competes directly with the Isuzu Truck Grafter and N75 ranges. The used market tends to see a lot of high payload operations for the Canter. For example there are usually more tippers for sale than any other body type with refuse, fridge trucks and recovery also featuring strongly.
