As with all Iveco Eurocargos, Iveco uses the Tector engine to deliver 180hp for the 130E18 13-tonne truck. Relatively rare at this weight range, 13 tonne Eurocargos will tend to be configured for municipal operation - sweepers, refuse trucks etc. Most commercial truck operators will opt for the added payload of an 18 tonner or the flexibility of a larger driver pool for the 7.5 tonner. This is a specialist truck and not for the mainstream.
If you are looking for a 15 tonne Iveco Eurocargo with a 220hp engine, chances are it will be the Eurocargo 150E22 model and it will have a road sweeper body. With 220hp on tap, this variant of the Eurocargo is almost always seen in 'Sweeper' configuration. The high powered engine and 15-tonne gross vehicle weight is the ideal combination for municipal operation and is able to power the truck and the sweeping unit simultaneously. This model is extremely popular in the UK as the chassis has been designed for road sweeper use. The main competition is from the DAF LF55 and later, Euro 6 LF....
The 180E25 Eurocargo was available as a Euro 5 truck and the same model name available as the more recent Euro 6. Truck buyers should therefore be extra careful when looking at this particular model and make sure that it is the correct version they are considering. Euro 5 vs Euro 6 - How to tell? This is very straightforward with the Iveco 180E25 as the Euro 6 version has the more modern, 'smile' to the front of the cab that features in both the Euro 6 Daily and Eurocargo models. Obviously it is worth checking the paperwork, but you will find that the 180E25 Eurocargo is powered by the...
One of the most common sights on the UK's roads is the Eurocargo 75E16. Iveco's bread and butter model comes with a 160hp Cursor engine and is rated at 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight. With a reasonably low unladen weight the 75E16 is highly flexible and can be configured to carry out many different types of work. With the '75E16K' tipper variant, the chassis can be transformed into a tipper easily, but it is as the white box van that this model is seen most frequently. The 75E16 is the most common truck model on the Truckpages website. Truck buyers will not struggle to find excellent...
The Eurocargo makes a great, lightweight 7.5 tonne tipper - although available above this weight range, they are rarer in the used truck marketplace. These workhorses are typically used in council operations - perhaps fitted with a caged tipping body - or on builder's merchant work. So which is the model to buy in the UK's used truck marketplace? The most common is the 7.5 tonne 75E16 with 160hp - enough power for the job. Where the truck is also required to tow, there are higher-powered alternatives - look for the 80E18 or the top powered 80E22 with 220hp available. For 18-tonne tipper...
