The P230 was Scania's lowest powered truck in the P Series range. Available from the launch in 2005 until the replacement at Euro 6 by the P250. Great 18 tonner for local work if you are not looking for a high-powered version for distance or tipper operation, the 230hp variant has plenty of power to complete the job. As a premium brand, there are always Scanias available - either for the domestic market or to put on the boat overseas to the export market. The low-powered P230 is no different, there is always a market for these trucks.
The Scania P320 is a high powered rigid for operation as a 6x2 at 26 tonnes GVW. Typical applications for the 320hp trucks are local, high payload operations - often with day cabs to boost payload. The P320 is well suited for refuse truck work as well as a crane truck - especially in XT 'construction' guise. As with all P Series, there is a choice of 'Short', 'day low' and 'day normal' cabs. There is also a choice of low, normal and Highline sleeper cabs -although it would be a very rare P320 that was fitted with a large sleeper cab. The latest P320 is powered by the 320hp, 9-litre Euro 6...
The Scania P410 is the most common variant of the P-Series range for sale at Truckpages. This is because, with 410hp on tap, the P410 is the perfect truck for operation as a tipper or grabloader. These variants were launched for Euro 6 back in 2013/4, replacing the outgoing 400hp versions. If you are looking for the latest model of P-Series, then you might want to consider the higher powered 450hp version - the P450. This will set you back considerably more money, so it the P410 will do the job then this is the one with the widest choice on the used truck market.
You will find some of the smaller, 18 and 26-tonne Scania Beavertail trucks for sale at Truckpages, but the majority of Scania beavertail truck buyers are looking for a high specification eight wheeler with a crane so will opt for the G Series version. Nonetheless, there is usually a selection of P Series beavertails - sometimes with cheesewedge ramps fitted instead of the true 'beaver tail' ramps that sit vertically. For heavier and off-road work you may even come across some 8x4 examples of Scania P Series beavertails.
