A rare truck in the UK, the range K is Renault’s heavy duty construction range that sits above their standard Range C construction range of trucks. The Range K is meant for trucks that have to carry out more extreme off-road duties and require higher ground clearance as a result. The truck was launched in 2014 at Euro 6 so no older models are available – look for examples of older Kerax models, which the Range K replaced.
After the April upgrade to the interior and cab of the T, T High, C and K ranges, Renault has turned its attention to improving the engines. The manufacturer is equipping these trucks with new DE11 and DE13 Step E engines. Coupled with the integration of advanced technologies, such as Turbo Compound, and dedicated services, the manufacturer claims a potential reduction in consumption of up to 10%.
