Usually the Grabloaders advertised on these pages are DAF CF models – the older ones CF85 and the newer, Euro 6 DAF Grab loaders are most likely to be a CF440 or sometimes the lower powered CF410. The grabloader is essentially a tipper truck that has a crane fitted to the front of the body, just behind the cab. It is often used to collect the rubble from building sites and the sides of the roads. Expect to see 8×4 32 tonne versions, although smaller 6×4 versions do become available.
Keep checking back as DAF trucks are the UK market leaders, so more examples will turn up all the time. There are fewer and fewer of the pre-Euro 6 CF85 models available – Tipper grabs don’t tend to lead an easy life. For operation inside the country’s low emission zones and to future-proof your purchase if you are not exporting the truck, you should be considering the post-2013 Euro 6 CF range.
