True crew cab trucks are relatively rare, despite this there is usually a good selection for sale at truckpages.
Typically, a truck with a crew cab will be used for recovery work (to get the driver and passengers of a stricken vehicle home as well as their vehicle).
Other applications include for local maintenance work – a council tipper may use a crew cab to get a gang of workers to site to save taking two vehicles.
We have also seen sleeper cabs converted to crew cabs – particularly for driver training when the next student is brought along for the ride!
Fire engines are another, rare application for a crew cab truck where a whole team of firefighters need to go at the same time.
Finally there are the municipal applications – typically refuse & recycling trucks. Many of these are listed under the ‘low entry cab‘ type which also often have a crew facility.

If the standard crew cab is too long to fit a full-length body, then order a sleeper cab that has a seat-bunk combination fitted. That’s what R&S Recovery Services’ did with their new Mercedes-Benz Atego which now has a cab that’s roomy enough to accommodate five passengers, but not so long that it eats into space better used for the load bed.
