Day cab trucks are true local workhorses – that’s why there is always hundreds of day cab trucks and tractor units for sale at Truckpages.
They are ideal for local distribution work where it is more important for the truck to be compact and carry as much payload as possible than for roominess or comfortable nights out.
A good example is for 8×4 tipper operations. Every kilo transported is money earned. So, if you can carry an extra 150kg per journey using a day cab tipper, as opposed to one with a larger, sleeper cab then it is worth missing out on the extra comfort that a larger cab provides.
Body length may also be important. You can fit a longer scaffolding body to a day cab truck than one with a sleeper cab. Som operators may think this is less of an issue if the cab has been converted for crew use – a ‘crew cab‘
So, where payload or load length are the most important factor – specify a day cab truck.

Lliw Building Supplies has taken delivery of a new Volvo FL 250 4x2 rigid equipped with rear mounted crane, continuing its long relationship with the manufacturer. The Pontardawe-based business has been…>
