The Volvo FM is the most common Volvo beavertail truck available in the UK’s used truck market. This shows that if a plant operator wants a heavier beavertail then they’ll choose a premium brand – for lighter work, the other Volvo models (FE and FL) do not perform as well as the FM. Expect to see the largest FM beavertails fitted with cranes to the rear of the cab and nine tonne front axles. Volvo Trucks beat the competition to a deal, with a new, 8x2 Volvo FM replacing a competitor’s vehicle on a small fleet of just four trucks.
