Launched back in 2006, the TGM is MAN’s medium weight offering. The TGM (medium) sits above the TGL (Light) and below the TGS (not sure what the S is about). Suited to rigid operation from 13 right up to 26 tonnes GVW it is available in 4×2, 4×4, 6×2 and 6×4 form. Often used in regional distribution, MAN’s reputation for engineering wins over many truck operators who are looking for a reliable workhorse. Fitted with a 6.9-litre Euro 6 engine, there are currently a choice of three outputs: 250, 290 and 320hp Many used examples for sale on these pages have plenty of life left in for their second and third roll of the dice. Search the Truckpages for excellent examples of the TGM and cheap MAN TGM trucks for sale.
On the day that Volvo Trucks announced that a UK business had ordered two electric trucks for use as tippers, MAN Truck & Bus reveal their response to a study into the feasibility of operating Battery Electric Trucks (BETs). The feasibility study "Delivery traffic with battery trucks: Feasibility 2021" published as part of the project "ZeroEmissionDeliveries - Berlin" has shown that operators should already be able to operate BETs comfortably and even save money at the same time. MAN Truck & Bus welcomed the results of the study but also points to the importance of government support for private and…>
Gritters don’t tend to be replaced too often, as they tend to work for a few weeks a year – especially the specialist 4x4 trucks that can’t be as readily repurposed for the (warmer) rest of the year. Since the tie up with Scania (they are now both owned by Traton – a Volkswagen subsidiary) it was thought that the new cab would be based on Scania’s new cab seen in the R and S series trucks. The big reveal in Bilbao showed that this was not the case, MAN preferring evolution rather than revolution. The front of the new MAN TGX…>
