There are more DAF beavertail trucks for sale on Truckpages than any other truck manufacturer. Ideal for carrying wheeled plant machinery, the DAF beavertail has a flat body that angles down at the rear to which a set of ramps can be attached for driving or winching wheeled plant machinery for transportation. As market leaders, DAF Trucks have a great dealer network to support these vehicles and excellent support for bodybuilders – especially those building specialist beavertail bodies. These trucks are often referred to by alternative names – a DAF cheesewedge truck is one that is the same as a beavertail, but the ramps fold up on themselves to create an extension of the flat body once folded. the ramps usually fold, but will stick up vertically, rather than folding flat to create a flat bed. Some operators will simply refer to one of these trucks as a ‘DAF plant body truck’.
