You can pick up some well-priced Renault tractor units for sale in the UK. As with Iveco, the Renault brand has not been well loved in the UK over the years. That is not to say the trucks are no good. Quite the opposite. Owned by Volvo Trucks, Renault have access to all the technology they need. Looking at the cab, for example, if you are after a Euro 6 tractor unit, then the Range T is about the newest cab design you can buy. The cab itself was designed for Euro 6 – compare this to DAF’s XF cab which stems back to the late 1990’s. This makes the Renault tractor units look like reasonable bargains. If you can have a pre-Euro 6 then the Premium is for you – post 2014 then it is a Range T. Let’s not forget the Renault Magnum. A classic flat floor tractor unit in the truest sense of the word. Not too many about any more, however. The most common Renault tractor unit on the Truckpages site and magazine is the Euro 6 Range T – the most popular variant of this is the T460. The construction version, or Range C, does feature, but in much smaller numbers. the Premium is still around in reasonable numbers for buyers of pre-euro 6 trucks and still looks relatively modern.
