If it’s a Scania Tipper, then chances are it’s from the P Series range. The sweet spot seems to be around the 360 to 380hp mark. Assuming they have been well maintained, tipper operators know that Scania tippers will go on and on running. If you are OK running a pre-Euro 6 Scania tipper then the P360 may work for you. Operators inside London would need to upgrade to the P370 Euro 6 model. For duty cycles that require a smaller truck, the 4×2 P Series Scania tipper is also a winner – try a P230 for size. Scania have an XT Construction range of trucks that are ideally suited for on-off road tipping operation. These are still rare in the UK but if you can find one, snap it up!
